Japan während der Kirschblüten Saison „Sakura“ zu besuchen, steht definitiv noch auf meiner “bucket list”! Bis dahin erfreue ich mich an den Kirschbäumen in meiner Umgebung und an wundervollen Fotografien.
Das unglaublich schöne Foto „Spring Dream“ von Sue Hsu hat mich letztes Jahr zu dieser kleinen Torte inspiriert an der ich mich auch zum ersten Mal an den Tortendekorationsstil “Malen auf Fondant” gewagt habe. Da ich nicht wusste wie lange ich zum Malen brauche, habe ich alten Fondant genommen und einen Tortendummy verwendet.

Ich habe mir das wundervolle Buch “The Painted Cake” von Natascha Collins gegönnt. Wer auf Fondant malen möchte, kann ich dieses Buch wirklich empfehlen.

Visiting Japan during the cherry blossom season “Sakura” is definitely on my bucket list 🙂
Until such time I’ll enjoy the cherry trees in my area and look at wonderful photographs. Last year the truly beautiful photograph “Spring Dream” by Sue Hsu inspired me to this cake. It’s the first time I tried painting on a cake, too. As I didn’t know how long I would need to paint I used old fondant and a cake dummy.

I treated myself to the fantastic book “The Painted Cake” by Natascha Collins. If you want to learn how to paint on cakes then I can really recommend this book.
