The Amigurumi fever has got hold of me! Last year a visiting friend crocheted a BB8, but I didn’t really think much about it apart from that the BB8 was very cute. Amigurumi is put together by the Japanese words amu meaning to knit and kurumu meaning packing, wrapping. It is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small cute stuffed animals, objects or food. My grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was little and now my little neighbour is teaching me again. Under her guidance I have crocheted this cute octopus and an absolutely calorie-free chocolate! 🙂
